Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello's character in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a degree from NIDA. Yael enjoyed the privilege to have the opportunity to work with Australia's leading storytellers. She's worked behind the scenes in film, television and the theatre. Yael is well-known as an actress in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has made New York City her home after her role in the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically acclaimed production. Yael co-founded The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative writing, and creative endeavors through it's Bushwick studio.
